1. What are Monli rope toys made from?

Our rope toys are crafted from recycled cotton materials. We take pride in offering eco-minded, pet-safe products.

2. Is Monli rope biodegradable?
Our toys are made with predominantly recycled cotton fibers, which are naturally biodegradable. A very small amount of support fiber is added for strength and durability, and that portion is not biodegradable. In other words: the cotton content biodegrades, the support fiber does not. Biodegradation depends on conditions (oxygen, moisture, microbes) and typically occurs in industrial or well-managed composting—not in landfills or water.

3. What does “recycled cotton” mean?
Recycled cotton comes from pre-consumer sources (factory offcuts, yarn waste) and/or post-consumer sources (worn clothing, linens). The textiles are sorted, cleaned, and mechanically opened back into fiber, then spun into new yarn. Because recycling shortens fiber length, recycled cotton yarns are often blended with a small support fiber (or sometimes virgin cotton) to restore strength—especially for durable products like rope toys.

4. Is it chemical-free?
We add no chemical finishes (no bleaches, optical brighteners, or resins) during our rope-making process. However, because recycled cotton comes from existing textiles, trace residues from original dyes/finishes may remain. We source from partners that meet GRS (Global Recycled Standard) requirements for responsible inputs and chemical management.

It keeps textiles in use longer, reduces waste, and supports a more circular materials system—while still delivering the natural texture pets love.
